You have clearly completed the brief by creating an illustration centred around the word 'cultivate', doing everything specified in the breif.
Improvements that you pointed out, such as drawing the figure's hand better, can all be rectified in a short space of time and would help with the outcome of the figure in the image.
Despite the fact you had trouble with the software, you worked around that and produces some brilliant shading and texturing which help to bring the image to life.
overall you have shown 100% dedication for this illustration that can be shown again in future images.
